بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ ١
Waylun likulli humazatin lumaza. Woe to every scorner and mocker
ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ ٢
Allathee jamaAAa malanwaAAaddadah. Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.
يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ ٣
Yahsabu anna malahu akhladah. He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ ٤
Kalla layunbathanna fee alhutama. No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ ٥
Wama adraka ma alhutama. And what can make you know what is the Crusher?
نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ ٦
Naru Allahi almooqada. It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled,
ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡــِٔدَةِ ٧
Allatee tattaliAAu AAalaal-af-ida. Which mounts directed at the hearts.
إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةٞ ٨
lnnaha AAalayhim mu'sada. Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them
فِي عَمَدٖ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ ٩
Fee AAamadin mumaddada. In extended columns.
